Hey, my name is Elliot Blevins and this is my first Turkey. I thought it was nice enough to send in here so others can see it. It had a 10" beard on it and it was a 2 and 1/2 year old bird.

A coyote I killed in our back yard by our house in Guilderland, NY, which is in upstate New York by Albany. We have had an over abundance of coyotes in our yard and field this year and in the years past. This is the second coyote I have killed in four weeks that have been on our property. These coyotes are so bold this one stood and stared me down for close to a minute. I stood still till he walked off into the tree line and when he got in my sights that was when I shot him. They have become such a problem for our children and our dog that I ended up calling DEC for advice. They did say if they are too close to a home or seem threatening to livestock or people they can be shot outside of the normal hunting season.

My name is Frances Slattery and I have about 2 years of hunting under my belt so far. I have found a great enjoyment in the skill it takes to hunt, I had no idea. My Father took me bear hunting in 2008, and we did not see a thing, but I did shoot his 30 ought six and was interested in learning more about the entire sport after that, what a rush it was. I shot my first spike with his crossbow in 2009 and Just this year purchased my first compound bow. I practiced a lot and have attached a button buck I killed this weekend with it. I am truly amazed at how smart these animals are.
